NEEBOR (Network of Eastern External Border Regions)

The goal of NEEBOR is to increase the awareness of key European stakeholders of the strengths and weaknesses of the cross-border region - on both sides of the eastern border of the EU. It also promotes cooperation among the regional players from cross-border regions. The network wants to practice efficient regional policy based on solidarity.

The network also initiated  a NEEBOR Interreg IVC project (Networking for Enterprises In the Eastern External Border Regions)  which ended in September 2011. The main goal of the project was to improve the innovativeness and competitiveness of the regional SMEs by exchanging best practices and exploring new ways of exploiting innovations.
